Recording of my set from the 3-7-2024 Secret Roller Disco in Portland, OR. My setup for it is the cover art. It was my first time playing a gig on that thing in about a year. Also, during More Bounce to the Ounce, the sound system cut out, so there's a couple quick breaks in the recording as I'm trying to figure things out.

DJ Good Things is no stranger to big stages or big crowds. With dozens of performances at Ilani Casino, he’s played the same stages as major acts like Pitbull, Alanis Morissette, En Vogue, Salt-N-Pepa, and Sir Mix-a-Lot. At Ilani, he’s DJ’d marquee events including New Year’s Eve, St. Patrick’s Day, Cinco de Mayo, BrewFest, and a CBS Big Brother afterparty—often following performances by acts like Lit, Reel Big Fish, and Hell’s Belles.

In Portland, he’s held residencies at Sugar Hill, EastBurn, Home: A Bar, The Pharmacy, and Starday Tavern, where he co-founded the weekly Party Portal/Shaqtime party with longtime collaborator DMoeFunk. He’s also a former resident of Motown on Mondays Portland and Wonder Love.

As a sought-after mobile and event DJ, Good Things has played over 80 venues across the Pacific Northwest and beyond—from Ski Bowl on Mt. Hood to Salishan Resort on the Oregon Coast, and from Ilani Resort in WA to Andaz in downtown Napa, CA. His clients include Nike, Airbnb, Soccer in the Sand, and Willamette Week’s Food Cart Festival.

​DJ Good Things has played a wide range of venues ranging from packed bars at his residencies at places like The Pharmacy, Home: A Bar, Eastburn and Starday Tavern to packed casinos like Ilani for events such as New Years Eve, Cinco de Mayo, and St. Patrick's Day.

Beyond his past residencies, he has played venues ranging from cocktail bars like Saucebox, to nightclubs like Fifth Avenue, and to concert venues such as The Star Theatre.​​​
WEDDINGS
Weddings are some of my favorite events to DJ. I love how fun it is to get everyone from toddlers to grandparents dancing and having a good time. Unlike other DJ services, I have a flat rate that keeps the party going as late as need be without having to worry about additional hourly fees.

I provide music, wireless microphones, and great sounding systems and work hard to make your wedding day runs smoothly and sounds great. I can also make any necessary announcements and help make sure things run on time. And don't worry, I won't do any of that "cheesy DJ on a microphone stuff" unless you specifically ask for it.
I usually meet with the bride and groom to talk about music, to discuss details, and get a good idea of what you’re going for in terms of vibe. Any song that you want for your wedding that I don't have, I will track down before your wedding. I can also do special edits of songs. For example, in the past I have edited out verses of songs, added fade-ins and fade-outs, and have created medleys for special dances.
I understand that planning a wedding is a lot of work and can be overwhelming, which is why I always tell my clients to feel free to use me as a resource and knowledge base. The experience and wisdom I've accumulated from DJing weddings for over 10 years extends far beyond just DJing. I am more than happy to answer any questions you have related to other aspects of the wedding as well.
Lighting & Visuals
My services also include lighting that ranges from classy up-lighting to L.E.D. and laser party lights to give the dance floor a "night club" look. I also have bubble, snow, haze, and fog machines available as well as additional L.E.D. lighting available. I also have a 1080p full HD projector and 6x6 foot screen and a HD 1080p 60' flatscreen TV available for slideshows, movies, or presentations.
After Parties & Silent Disco
A majority of the venues I have DJ’d at in the past have early sound cutoff times around 10PM. If you want your party to keep going after that, we can definitely set up an after party at another location. I have done that in the past and have even DJ’d a party bus from one venue to the next before. I also have silent disco equipment available.
